8 years agoKelly's is one of the very few places left here in Downey that has held true to it's roots. Not much has changed inside the tavern over the years, which is nice for those who find comfort in the familiar. If you want a nice, relatively quiet place to sit, have a drink, relax, talk, shoot some pool, and not worry about getting into a fight or some other nonsense that you'll find in other establishments nearby, Kelly's is the perfect spot. People that come here aren't looking for trouble. The staff is always friendly and there is very rarely a long wait to be served. Many thanks to the staff here for their dedication and love for the way Downey used to be, quiet and considerate.

8 years agoI only go during the week when it's empty, that's how I like it. No crowds. But if you are into that kind of stuff. Tgis place does get busy during Friday and the weekends. It has a pool table, just one, and a satellite jukebox. Sweet spot.

7 years agoGreat quiet place to unwind and have a few drinks, good ambiance found this small haven after a long drive on the road. Great music fun bartender and good patrons to enjoy a drink with. Id recommend anyone looking for a nice watering hole to check it out.

5 months agoThis place was banging! Dri KS came out fast and the vibe was nuts. Different types of crowds came pouring in: from the drunk chick's falling asleep on the tables to an all leather crew that just chilled in a corner. It was loud, busy, and fun. Great time. Screw Flanders
